What can I expect?

Initial Consultation

Initial consultations are the best way to introduce myself and meet your family. During this consultation we will discuss:

  • Goals and expectation
  • Beauty practices
  • Basic approaches
  • Basic styling

I will also assess your child’s hair to determine the hair type and hair health. Thereafter, I may guide you on how to balance hair care and lifestyle according to your family needs.

Please allow up to 60 Minutes for initial consultation appointments.

Phone/Email Feedback

After the initial consultation, I will follow-up with you via telephone or email, depending on your preference, seeking feedback on how styling and routines have worked for you. This will be the time when the focus will change from basic to a more customized approach. I will also provide you with options and determine your goals for the next consultation.

Please allow ~15 minutes for phone feedback.

Follow-up Consultations

After feedback, I will meet with you in person and continue to provide you with any additional information needed to get you and your family to those goals we set in the initial consultation. We will make assessments as to how the various styles/routines have worked for your child’s hair health as well as your lifestyle. Then we can make changes as needed. Follow-up consultations may include, but are not limited to:

  • Goals and expectations
  • Customized product selections
  • Customized hair routines
  • Styling training (for parent and/or child)
  • Adjusting customized health and beauty options

Please note these appointments may vary in length depending on what is needed. I will let you know how much time to plan for prior to scheduling the appointment.

When do the consultations end?

When you believe that we have reached your hair/beauty goals for your children, our time will likely come to an end. I will review and celebrate your gains with you, and your regular sessions will no longer be needed. I will follow-up with you quarterly and annually to make sure that you maintain the skills and knowledge you gained long term.

What if I have questions after consultations end?

I see our work as a partnership, so my commitment to you doesn’t end with the consultations. If you have questions, later on, you are always free to call, email and/or text me. I will provide you with answers at no additional charge to you.

However if you have a significant amount of questions and/or concerns short-term consultation, 2-3 sessions, may be sufficient to fully fill this need.
