Natural Is In (NII) is an educational service for health, beauty, and culture. The mission of NII is to provide information, guidance, and resources to help families, parents and/or guardians meet the beauty needs of all children.
Biography
Talisha Sutton is a mother, educator, entrepreneur, and coach. She grew up in Grand Rapids, MI. She received two Bachelor’s degrees from Michigan Technological University and a Master’s degree from Michigan State University. As a child, Talisha went back and forth between maintaining her natural hair and having it chemically straightened. In 2012 she decided to ditch the chemicals and go natural. Talisha has struggled with her own and her daughter’s hair; managing tight curly locks of hair can be time-consuming. Overcoming struggles with beauty, confidence, and hair was life changing for Talisha, and so she would like to pass on to others many of the lessons she has learned. To quote Maya Angelou, “When you learn, teach, and when you get, give.”
